Management Accountant - Theale - 2 days in office - £50,000 to £55,000 + 10% Bonus - Business partnering to Group Directors

Not your standard Management Accounting job, this role has a broad remit and will give you the ability to work closely and business partner with company Directors. An exciting opportunity to work for a complex £100million turnover FMCG company as a Management Accountant, business partnering to the group Directors.

You will be taking ownership of the production of group costs and overheads, providing commercial insight on cost base and drivers of cost.

Day to day you will be....

• Producing consistent, accurate monthly Management accounts for the group and overhead areas, including the posting of all journals.
• Working alongside business partners for preparation and review of forecasts and budgets, ensuring these are subject to appropriate analysis and challenge.
• Analysing cost performance against forecasts and budgets, providing relevant commentary for variances.
• Business partnering for all group cost centres, inclusive of technology, buying and HR.
• Updating methods and maintaining rigour around capitalisation of costs to projects ensuring robust and clear processes.
• Maintaining and reviewing the fixed asset register, depreciation schedule and quarterly review meetings on capitalisation process.
• Working with the rest of the team on group costs cash forecasting, VAT returns, intercompany accounting, supplier contribution accounting and collection, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Getting involved in year end audit, providing support for timely completion and explanation of requests.
• Taking responsibility for the development and training of a Finance apprentice.
• Looking at business case and commercial support for project investments and performance of post-implementation reviews.

Desired experience and qualifications....

• Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
• IFRS102 and UK GAAP experience
