A leading retail company are seeking a Payroll Assistant with European market exposure. The role will start as a 6 month fixed term contract with a chance of being extended dependant on performance and growth within the company.
In this role you will be responsible for running the end to end payrolls in Belgium, Ireland and Portuguese markets. Along with coordinating payroll with bureau on all matters related to payroll processing and reporting. You will also be responsible for maintaining European mailboxes and online filling systems.
Requirements/Background:
- A payroll professional with experience of processing payroll across multiple countries in Europe
- Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations
- Excel - Intermediate Level
- Able to work independently, to prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines
- The ability to maintain good working relationships is essential
- Maintain payroll files and prepare monthly payroll for the required European employees for submission to the payroll bureau
- Setting up of bank payments to payroll providers as well as any Ad Hoc payments such as Wage Advances, Pension payments.
