Role: Practice Accountant / Financial Accountant / Manager

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Sector: Medium Sized Practice

Salary: up to £45k

Our client, at Marks Sattin, are looking for an impressive candidate with a Practice background to help oversee the company, its finances and help drum up new business for the company as well as retain current clients with excellent service. This will suit someone who is a Senior Accountant or a Manager in a small Practice Firm and want to progress to that next stage of their career. This role is offering a great salary and scope to be involved with the day to day running of the business and become an important part of what they are trying to achieve in the future!

A big part of your role here will be your competence in being a strong, financial Accountant!

Competencies of the role

  • Ability to help in managing and overseeing a team of 40 staff members to point the company in the right, forward direction
  • Be able to produce a full set of accounts for submission to companies house
  • Able to prepare Self-Assessment Tax returns
  • Able to prepare CT600's
  • Ability to perform Group Accounting, Group Structures, Intercompany etc.
  • Be able to competently liaise with new and current clients confidently
  • Be able to regularly update the owner on processes with the clients

Candidate Specific

  • You will be Qualified - ACA, ACCA
  • Have the ability to manage a team
  • Desire and potential to oversee all areas of the business
  • Practice background as either a Senior or a Manager of a Small Practice firm looking for that next step up

This role requires you to be a strong Financial Accountant with ability to lead a large team. You will have that drive to succeed and become an important part of the company's next phase of growth. You will be a strong individual with aspirations to be successful and really push on in your career with the drive and passion for what you do!
