Our client, an established facilities management company based in Stockport are currently searching for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team.

Working within a team of 3, the role will provide specialist procurement advice and guidance across the organisation.

More specifically, you will manage and coordinate the undertaking of procurement projects and tenders supporting Head of Areas across the business in their requirements, maintain and develop internal procurement controls including spend reports, work alongside the Procurement Manager to ensure effective business support is provided to Senior Management allowing the company to maximise purchasing power and achieve optimum value for money from procurement activities and promote a compliance culture that ensures continually improvement of performance and legal and other standards are met.

You will ideally have at least two years experience in a procurement/purchasing role, excellent communication and administrative skills and be looking for a varied role where you will gain exposure to all aspects of procurement.

A candidate studying towards the CIPS qualification is ideal, however other relevant purchasing qualifications and/or practical experience will be considered.
