Project Manager - Oracle Fusion

9-12 Month Contract | London (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global private markets investment firm operating across multiple international offices. The organisation is embarking on a significant finance transformation programme centred on the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud and is seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to drive delivery.

This is not a programme management or oversight role. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in the day-to-day management of the implementation, working closely with Finance, Technology, Systems Integrators, and senior stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of Oracle Fusion Financials.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong Private Equity (in-house or consulting background), having led Oracle Fusion implementation projects within a Big 4, management consulting, or specialist transformation consultancy environment.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a major Oracle Fusion Finance implementation, ensuring successful execution across planning, design, build testing, deployment and build and business adoption.

You will coordinate internal and external teams, manage project governance, and act as the central point of accountability for delivery, timeline management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of an Oracle Fusion Finance implementation programme.
  • Establish and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across Finance, Technology, PMO, and third-party implementation partners.
  • Drive project governance, reporting, RAID management, and steering committee updates.
  • Challenge and support solution design decisions to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Oversee testing, cutover planning, deployment, and business readiness activities.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement across senior leadership and operational teams.
  • Drive project delivery to agreed scope, quality, budget, and timelines.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years' project management experience gained within Private Equity, consulting, Big 4, systems integration, or large-scale transformation environments.
  • Proven track record delivering Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance implementations.
  • Experience managing complex finance transformation programmes from initiation through to go-live.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
  • Experience managing third-party implementation partners and system integrators.
  • Strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Previous experience within financial services, private capital, asset management, banking, insurance, or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

  • Hands-on delivery-focused project management approach.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and execution skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving transformation environment.

Preferred Background

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Trained and developed within a Big 4 consulting firm.
  • Worked for a leading management consultancy or specialist Oracle implementation consultancy.
  • Delivered multiple Oracle Fusion Finance programmes as either Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
  • Experience working with private equity, investment management, or broader financial services clients.

Please note, due to the high volume of applications, we will only be able to proceed with candidates that fulfil the aboveessential criteria. We look forward to receiving your application.
