Marks Sattin currently have a very exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader for a business in Garforth, East Leeds!

The primary responsibility of this role will be to assist the Purchase Ledger Manager with day-to-day management of the Sub-Contractor Payments team.

If you are an experienced PL Clerk with CIS experience and would like to come away from day-to-day processing and would like to help manage a team and deal with complex queries, this role would be well suited to you. It would be ideal if you already had Supervisory experience!

In return, my client will pay up to £30,000 salary along with a brilliant bonus/profit share scheme!

Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day delegation of work to the purchase ledger team of 2
  • Assist team members in solving problems by answering specific questions / seeking clarification from internal or external sources and providing assistance and coaching to the team.
  • Act as the escalation point for team members and internal escalations. Dealing with supplier issues and complex queries while escalating to Purchase Ledger Manager where required.
  • Perform the duties of an Accounts Payable Clerk for specific suppliers
  • Prepare weekly BACS payment runs and ad hoc daily faster payments to ensure suppliers are paid as directed by the Purchase Ledger Manager or Financial Controller
  • Manage the Supplier maintenance process including new suppliers and amendments
  • Support in training new team members in Company's processes and controls
  • Manage the PO/Invoice dispute process and ensure internal KPIs are met
