Are you an experienced Commercial Finance Accountant looking for a rare opportunity to join a leading UK business as a senior member of a high performing finance team? We are working with a market leading and widely respected Yorkshire based company in recruiting a Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This role is a great platform to influence senior leadership and help drive the direction of the group.

Overview;

• Reporting to CFO
• Potentially 1 direct report (Business Analyst)
• Producing management accounts, quarterly review and budget packs
• Preparing reports on sales & margin
• Along with the Finance Manager, driving the monthly, quarterly and annual finance timetable from a sales & margin perspective
• Producing flash results - sales & margin
• Participating in commercial review meetings and providing effective challenge to ops team and summary and analysis to CFO/CEO
• Detailed review, analysis and monitoring of sales and margin performance on a weekly basis
• Maintaining risks/opps schedule and provisions at contract level
• Business partnering role to Regional Directors and Business Unit Leaders
• Liaising with auditors re commercial finance elements
• Ad hoc analysis as requested by CFO
• Due diligence for potential acquisitions and vendor DD for a potential disposal

Ideal Experience:

• Long-term contract accounting
• Construction experience preferred
• Forecasting/budgeting at sales/margin level
• Significant exposure to Board
• Strong analytical skills required, particularly Excel
• Strong reporting capability - clear, concise, accurate and well-presented
• Experience of acquisitions / disposals desirable
