Start your job searchMarks Sattin are currently working with a Scunthorpe based manufacturing company to assist in the recruitment of a Senior Finance Analyst.
As a Senior Finance Analyst within the finance team you will be provide accounting and financial support, notably the production of regular standardised financial reports and other analysis to facilitate reviews of business performance and support other key business decisions.
You will work closely with the rest of the finance team to ensure consistent best practice is developed and maintained across the function.
Your main duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivery of month end financial reporting and operational tasks to deadline and without compromising on quality
- Delivery of budget preparation and monthly forecasting tasks as required to deadline
- Raw material inventory and commodity backed loan reconciliation
- Monitor and evaluate financial data as required e.g. product costings
- Organise and respond on a timely basis to requests made by the business's multiple stakeholders
- Administering the business authorisation paths strategy
- Involvement in ad hoc reporting or project activities as required.
Skills:
- Strong part-qualified accountant or someone with a proven track record in a similar role
- Experience of month end preparation and reporting activities, balance sheet reconciliations and use of financial systems from end user perspective is essential.
- You need to be a solid communicator, both written and verbally with good time management skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel is required. Experience of using SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and SQL would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, you should be comfortable operating in a changeable and dynamic environment with an approachable, positive attitude.
