Our client is a leading name in the energy and utilities sector with operations across the world. The business is renowned for finding and developing best in class assets in order to deliver long-term value to their clients. Due to a recent internal move, the company is now seeking a commercially astute finance professional to manage a small team and analyse and report on costs across divisions.

Working as the team lead, you will be responsible for the reporting and budgeting of costs and spend in the UK. You will be responsible for interacting and liaising with divisional stakeholders and act as a business partner for the cost centre managers - managing the cost process set up and control. You will provide insightful analysis to support and drive a culture of cost management and accountability, whilst focusing on process improvements to create opportunities to add value. The role will see you manage and motivate a cross locational team and ultimately drive best practice in cost management.

The successful candidate will be a qualified finance accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) - a pro-active, self-motivated team player that can analyse, investigate and report to tight deadlines and work with senior management. Your experience will ideally include exposure to the energy, utilities or telco sector (directly or from practice) and you will have up to date knowledge of technical accounting requirements and IFRS. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that retains talent and encourages further internal development and progression.
