At present Marks Sattin have a number of exciting opportunities for Project Managers to take on interesting contracts in relation to the Solvency II regulatory challenges within the Insurance industry. The ideal candidates will be working within the insurance industry (GI, Life, Re, Captive) and will possess an in depth knowledge of the Solvency II directive and how it will impact insurance organisations regulatory requirements.





Principal Responsibilities:



· Implement Solvency II directive for existing and new entrants into the Irish insurance market

· Constantly researching and learning new Solvency II legislation

· Develop the overall Solvency II plan and ensure milestones are set and achieved

· Develop and implement individual detailed Solvency II plans for each line of business

· Effectively developing & managing relationships with international and European Union bodies

· Escalate Solvency II implementation issues that arise to the Chief Actuary.

· Managing and training staff members across various business areas

· Ensure full Solvency II compliance by the end of 2012

· Support the implemented Solvency II framework - post implementation





Candidate Requirements



· Extensive experience working within the insurance sector

· Deep understanding of the Solvency II directive and how this will impact Irish and international insurance companies with operations in Ireland

· Experience in general, life, captive or (re) insurance industry

· Strong exposure in reporting, risk management, project management, actuarial or similar roles
