The opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant with a background in the insurance sector to join a top Lloyd's insurer in order to lead a team and deliver high quality financial reporting outputs to Group level. As a company that provides a range of both insurance and reinsurance product lines that span the globe, with >£1 billion in written premiums, the specialist product lines and associated reporting will present a challenge to any candidate wanting to develop their skills and expertise while being well rewarded.
In return for your commitment, you will be trusted to lead a number of team members, introduce new approaches to enhance processes and reports, as well as build relationships with colleagues internal customers. You will also learn about the company's various businesses and operations, as well as wider sector trends, in a period of planned growth. Given that this role will be with a top name in the Lloyd's market, the successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skill-set, gain expert knowledge of syndicate activities, and develop key relationships.
Duties include:
Ensuring that syndicate financial reporting is completed to a high quality in a timely manner;
Preparing GAAP and Solvency II Balance Sheets for all Syndicates;
Assisting with the preparation of Lloyds Quarterly Solvency Returns (QSR), and Annual Solvency Returns (ASR);
Assisting with the development of ASR/QSR automation process;
Completing QMA reporting, including various Lloyd's reporting requirements;
Developing the syndicate financial reporting process;
Developing strong working relationships with internal customers;
Leading 2 assistant accounts and the cashier function.
The salaries are competitive and will range between £70,000 and £75,000 depending on the level of experience with benefits + potential bonus.
You will need to have: an ACA qualification (or equivalent); an undergraduate degree or higher (or equivalent); experience with insurance, financial services, or large global business would be preferred.
