- To manage accounting and reporting for two legal entities in EMEA supporting the wider EMEA accounting operations team.
- Working independently, with other functions and outside service providers to deliver local country compliance, including direct and indirect taxes.
- First point of contact for any matters/ issues within their entity.
Key responsibilities and deliverables
- Booking month end journal entries - accruals, prepayment, intercompany, tax adjustments, payroll etc.
- Monitoring other general ledger activities for their entities, such as AP and cash management.
- Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing local compliance filings for indirect and direct tax working with the tax team and their group lead (and outside providers where applicable).
- Preparing other local compliance filings such as statistical returns working with their group lead (and outside providers where applicable).
- Preparing local GAAP financial statements working with their group lead (and outside providers where applicable).
- Working together with the wider EMEA finance team to deliver improvements and consistency across processes.
- Other ad hoc tasks.
Specific skills and experience
- Part-qualified or QBE accountant with experience in a similar role is essential.
- Ability to apply accounting concepts to day to day tasks.
- Good excel skills.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- A self-starter who is comfortable operating both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff at all levels.
