  • Location: South-West London (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office)
  • Contract: Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension

Overview

We are seeking a qualified Regulatory Reporting Accountant with experience in the banking or leasing sector to join a finance team on an initial 6-month contract. The role will support the preparation and delivery of key regulatory submissions and group reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory deadlines.

The successful candidate will play a key role in monthly group regulatory reporting, including consolidation, liquidity, and capital reporting, as well as quarterly reporting to the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS). The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work effectively under tight reporting timelines.

There may also be opportunities to contribute to data analysis, audit support, and process improvements across the regulatory reporting framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver monthly Group regulatory reporting, including consolidation, liquidity, and capital reporting requirements.
  • Support the preparation and submission of quarterly reports to the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS).
  • Ensure all regulatory reports are completed accurately and submitted within strict deadlines.
  • Assist with data analysis and reconciliations to support regulatory submissions and internal finance reporting.
  • Provide support during external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Review existing reporting processes and identify opportunities to improve working files, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Help strengthen controls and eliminate errors within regulatory reporting workflows to ensure alignment with Group tool and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with internal finance teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting outputs.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • You must be immediately available to start the contract or on a short notice period (max 2 weeks).
  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or leasing sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks, including capital and liquidity reporting.
  • Experience working within tight regulatory reporting deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
