Are you an aspiring Accounts Assistant looking to take the next steps in your career towards gaining a deeper breadth of knowledge and exposure within accountancy?
I'm currently working with an award winning and leading international manufacturing company that work in partnership with some of the most respected brands in the world. Working in partnership with their clients, this business works to develop vital products that contribute to the lives of millions everyday.
Where you fit in?
You'll be joining a fast growing business that has a newly created role in their offices bassed near Harrogate. This is not your standard accounts assistant role where you're focused purely on ledgers. You will be getting stuck in to preparation of accounts and month end procedures - invaluable experience for anyone aspiring to take the next step up in their career.
Your role:
- Preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
- Sales ledger reconciliation
- Credit control
- Petty cash reconciliation and posting
- Administration of Sage payroll, resolving queries from employees relating to both payroll and pensions
- Cash flow forecasting, daily update of cash book, reconciliation of expenses and company credit card expenditure
- Reconcile debtors and issue debtor statements
- Depreciation reconciliation and posting
- Prepayments and accruals
- VAT calculations and returns, including maintenance of VAT journal
- Assisting with audit preparation
What you need?
Ideally you will have a passion for working in accounts and a desire to progress. Provided you're keen to learn, hard working and demonstrate the ability to expand your technical knowledge; your efforts will be rewarded
