Responsibilities

• You will also have a good working knowledge of wider financial matters such as the preparation of VAT returns, tax computations, financial disclosure checklists for a variety of clients.
• As part of this role you will also be expected to interpret financial data, present ideas and make recommendations to clients as well as identify business opportunities and develop the ability to introduce other services to our client base.
• You will also have responsibility for training and providing support and guidance to more junior staff when necessary.
• Seeks to develop a wide basis of knowledge across IFRS and FRS 102
• Acts as first point of contact for client queries escalating as relevant
• Competent in the use of Caseware and other relevant accounts production software.
• Competent in the use of accounting software applications e.g. Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Ability to work to a project plan/work schedule to ensure work is completed in accordance with timelines and milestones that have been agreed with the client or internal teams

Experience and professional qualifications:

• Studying towards ACCA or equivalent
• Good working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102)
