My Client, a global consulting firm, is looking for a compliance / risk / internal controls professional from the financial services sector to join their Regulatory Advisory team. As this is a growing service line, where a candidate performs well, there will be significant opportunities for progression.

Working in our Financial Services Risk practice, you will have the opportunity to work with clients to provide practical regulatory, compliance and risk management solutions, gaining valuable experience in banking and wider financial services industry sectors.

You will work within different sized, multi-disciplinary teams and play a key role in ensuring high quality outputs and service to our clients. The role involves developing and implementing compliance, risk management and/or internal control solutions and providing regulatory support across the service lines.

As a consultant, you will technically contribute to FS Risk engagements. You will work effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver assignments to a high level of client satisfaction and within budget
  • Maintaining a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs
  • Build relationships with all levels of client management including C-suite level
  • Build a network across the firm and develop strong team relationships
  • Build understanding of company solutions, share knowledge and be able to draw on subject matter specialists accordingly
  • Develop relevant recommendations and solutions to improve efficiency and mitigate areas of risk
  • Work with clients to meet regulatory and internal control obligations.
  • Role will include working with a range of clients in a variety of locations and willingness to travel is a necessity.

Experience

  • Excellent team and interpersonal skills and capability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Commitment to delivering quality work and excellent functional IT skills
  • Strong experience in a risk, compliance or internal audit role in a regulated financial services firm in Ireland
  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of current financial services regulation and legislation, particularly regarding at least one of the following regulatory areas Prudential Regulation, Financial Crime, and/or Consumer Protection
  • LCOI accreditation, professional/legal qualifications and consulting experience an advantage
