Start your job searchMy client who is a multinational commercial and retail bank, is looking for an innovative Data Scientist to join the banks Data Analytics Audit team, as an Audit Manager (Previous audit experience is not essential).
The Audit Manager - Data Analytics, will be required to apply advanced data science technical knowledge to support the development of utilities to increase efficiencies and maximise the added value for the Group Internal Audit function, and innovate and perform ad-hoc analytics to explore how data science techniques can be best applied within an Internal Audit function.
Some key responsibilities of the role:
- Deliver multiple data analytics projects concurrently to an agreed schedule
- Communicate on technical areas in plain, simple language that is easy to understand and obtain sufficient level of auditing and business knowledge so that all deliveries are fit for end users' purpose
- Apply agile project management and best practices in software development and keep management team up to date on status and escalate issues and concerns promptly
- Work collaboratively across the audit function to develop an understanding of business priorities and risks relevant to assigned audits and engagements and identify opportunities to apply data science and more broadly data analytics
- Share knowledge, give training and awareness sessions
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders in internal audit and the rest of the banking group
What are they looking for?
- Someone to bring a fresh set of skills to give valuable input to change the teams approach
- Hands on and able to implement techniques
- An expert in data analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, SAS or equivalent and mainstream data science programming languages and tools such as R, Python or Matlab
- Experience managing stakeholders and the ability to communicate in a way that a lay audience can understand
