Top 20 Practice based in London are looking for an Audit Senior to join their business services team.
With every audit, you will gain a deeper insight into each stage of the process, and a broader view of the business, and as your experience grows, so will opportunities.
This means that there is a possibility of working on non-audit assignments, including:

  • Assisting the corporate finance teams and litigation experts
  • Work on an international contracts via who are part of the firms' wider network
  • Work on assignments for the European Commission.

    Responsibilities will include:
  • Attend pre-assignment discussions with the audit team.
  • Assist the senior with the completion of the planning section.
  • Understand the objectives of each assignment including the budget requirements.
  • Be responsible for allocating work to junior members of the audit team
  • Provide on the job training to junior members of the firm, review their work and provide feedback
  • Advise the manager of any developments that may lead to a change in strategy
  • Provide sound advice to clients and demonstrate knowledge of business issues
  • Provide a detailed analysis of time charged on every assignment to facilitate billing and future planning

    You will be:
  • ACCA/ACA, or equivalent, qualified
  • External commercial auditing experience required on Auditing (ISAs)
  • Performance of statutory audits and half year review engagements in compliance with UK Auditing
    Standards
  • Preparation of general and special purpose statutory financial reports in compliance with UK equivalents
  • Preparation of cash flow statements and consolidated financial statements
  • Documentation and assessment of internal control procedures, including board report preparation
  • Training, supervision and coordination of junior team members
  • Knowledge of ProAudit, Caseware Working Papers and Quickbooks would be a bonus

    This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking firm. This position will be home based for the foreseeable future, with occasional trips to the office.
