Marks Sattin Executive Search is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join a fast-growing PE-backed B2B business based in Essex. Working alongside the CEO and a supportive PE house, the CFO will offer strategic insight, support the leadership team, drive initiatives, manage projects, and contribute to a realistic growth plan.

Acting as a valued business partner and leader for the finance team, the CFO will be responsible overseeing the finance function. Responsibilities will include overseeing and ensuring that all financial aspects, and implementing strong systems, processes, and control. This will add strategic, operational, and commercial value, ensuring detailed and incisive reporting, analysis, and forecasting is delivered to the highest standard. Ultimately ensuring the business fulfils its ambitious growth strategy for a supportive PE partner. Beyond financial acumen, the CFO will prepare monthly reporting of performance to the board; and ensuring control and management of working capital and cash.

As the CFO, you will act as a role model to the finance team, strengthen relationships with investors and business partners, championing the success of the business for key stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to lead a valued finance function of a growing business, working with a supportive PE partner on one of their key investments.

The ideal candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA)
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or Financial controller from a Privately-Owned Business looking to step up into a CFO role in a PE-Backed business
  • A track record of implementing and improving accounting systems, processes and management information and financial reporting.
  • Be proactive and entrepreneurial with exceptional interpersonal skills and be a skilled communicator.
