Marks Sattin executive search is working with a dynamic and fast-growing PE-backed SaaS business poised for significant expansion. With a strong product-market fit, a growing customer base, and a clear vision for expansion, the business is seeking a commercially astute Interim CFO to professionalise the finance function and establish a solid foundation for scale.

In this pivotal role, the Interim CFO will be responsible for building the finance function from the ground up. This includes recruiting and developing a high-performing team, implementing fit-for-purpose systems, and establishing robust financial controls and processes. The CFO will also take ownership of introducing and embedding SaaS-specific KPIs to ensure the leadership team and investors have clear visibility of performance and growth levers. In addition, you'll lead the implementation or optimisation of financial systems and tools to streamline reporting and planning. The role will also involve partnering with stakeholders across the business, providing strategic guidance around budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and scenario planning.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated experience as CFO or Finance Director within a PE-backed and/or SaaS or tech-enabled business, with a strong grasp of key performance indicators and investor reporting expectations.
  • A track record of building and scaling finance functions in high-growth, unsophisticated environments
  • Strong command of SaaS KPIs, with experience implementing financial and operational reporting frameworks
  • Experience implementing financial systems, improving processes, and building scalable infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with credibility at board level and with investors
  • Comfortable working at pace in a founder-led, entrepreneurial setting

Please note that due to the high volume of applicants only successful candidates will be contacted with further information about this role.
