Start your job searchMarks Sattin Executive Search is partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed software business to appoint a high-calibre CFO who can act as a strategic partner to both the executive team and the PE firm. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for establishing robust systems, controls, and processes that underpin the business' dynamic market presence and ambitious growth trajectory.
As CFO, you will lead the creation of a first-rate finance function, assembling a high-performing finance team and professionalising the finance, legal, and wider business operations. By streamlining processes, optimising cost structures, and identifying opportunities for greater profitability, you will drive stronger margins and enhanced financial performance. Your provision of detailed performance analysis will also be crucial in supporting strategic decision-making.
Beyond your financial remit, you will play a central role in shaping the commercial strategy, from identifying new revenue streams and expanding into international markets to strengthening the business's competitive positioning. Additionally, you will support the CEO and leadership team, maintain robust relationships with the PE firm, and manage key external partnerships, including banks and investors.
The ideal candidate:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
- Proven track record within a business in the Tech enabled or SaaS sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
- A highly motivated individual, that is willing to be actively engaged at all organisational levels.
- Able to work with the executive team, the board, and the PE firm to drive the strategic direction of the business, identifying growth opportunities.
