A private equity backed international education business requires a first class Chief Financial Officer to join their expanding group. With numerous sites across the UK and exciting plans to roll out further ones across the globe, this presents an exceptional opportunity for a CFO to add value, grow the top and bottom line and potentially generate significant personal wealth. Our client is considering applications from a broad range of sectors therefore is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting industry.

The business has been growing year on year and will almost certainly go through a sale process in the next couple of years, presenting the CFO with significant potential for capital realisation. With an excellent reputation throughout the sector for second to none teaching and expertise, this business has prepared numerous individuals to excel in their chosen career and has a list of several highly successful alumni.

Partnering with the CEO, the CFO will continue to build the group and add significant value through organic methods as well as further M&A and the roll out of new sites. This role will be integral in strengthening the position of the company and preparing it for a highly profitable exit process.

The CFO will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Full ownership and accountability for the day to day running of the finance function
  • Preparing the business for sale
  • Roll out of new sites both in the UK and internationally
  • Mergers, acquisitions and their following integrations
  • Adding value and driving bottom and top line growth
  • Fully autonomous banking relationships
  • Owning statutory accounting, management accounting, board packs and reporting to the PE house

The successful candidate will be a "hands on" and energetic qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with several years experience in a private equity backed portfolio business as either a number one, number two or at divisional level. Prior exposure to the rolling out of new sites both in the UK and internationally would be considered highly advantageous. They will also be an influential character with strong people management experience, an acute eye for detail and the ability to interact with people at all levels of the business.
