Start your job searchA high-growth and reputable consumer goods business based in central London is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join the team. This position is newly created due to expansion and to help develop the direction of the commercial finance team and contribute directly to the success of the company.
Reporting directly into the Head of Finance, responsibilities include:
- Business partner with sales and account teams to report on and analysis relevant financial data.
- Deliver analysis on period end statements against budget and projection
- Partner with budget holders and share financial tracking on performance vs budget
- Assist in the production of monthly internal and Board financial reports
- Produce insightful analysis that helps to drive business performance
- Manage the budget and forecasting processes across departments to ensure accuracy and appropriate resource allocation
- Collaborate with the revenue and new product teams to control margins and ensure profitability
- Involvement in new system implementation and updates as the business transitions to PowerBi and Anaplan
- Identify and implement improvements to efficiency and controls across departments.
- Support the wider finance team and senior leadership with ad hoc reporting, project work and analysis.
Candidates will be qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or at the final stages of qualification with proven analytical experience. Candidates must have strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets. Previous knowledge working with PowerBi and Anaplan, and experience working within consumer markets such as retail or FMCG would be highly beneficial. You must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels and advise non-finance colleagues.
