Start your job searchWe are currently seeking an individual to join our client's team as an Associate in Corporate Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded mid-market M&A team in a top business services firm.
Working in a small team of M&A professionals you will be required to contribute to all stages of a transaction with direct client contact. You will work with owner managed, entrepreneurial and private equity-backed businesses from a broad range of industries and sectors. The role is exclusively in lead advisory and you will be working on buy and sell side transactions, management buy outs and debt and equity fundraising. An integral part of the role will involve identifying and pursuing opportunities for new business development.
We are looking for ambitious and proactive candidates who are prepared to work hard and take on high levels of responsibility from an early stage. The team is expanding and there are very good opportunities for career
progression. The successful candidate will need to hold the ACA/ACCA or CFQ qualification. Corporate Finance experience would be a bonus but not a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Providing ongoing support to managers and partners on a transaction as part of a deal team
- Point of contact with clients and intermediaries
- In depth analysis of companies, industries and deal activity, and the reporting thereon
- Integral member of pitch teams, preparing supporting documents and attending new client tenders
- Location, interrogation and aggregation of information from various research sources and databases
- Scoping and drafting sales documents and various other reports and presentations
- Identifying potential buyers/investors and the assessment of strategic rationales; and
- Identifying opportunities for deal origination / business development / marketing initiatives
