I am happy to be working with a world renowned organisation, based in Guildford, Surrey, whose UK operation has continued to grow naturally and through acquisition. As a result of this growth they have a newly created role for a Finance Business Partner working within the Operations Division, with the main focus of the role to support and report on change activity. This role will report directly to the Operations Finance Business Partner Manager working within a team of 6.

The Duties:

  • Expense support and projections for relevant change cost centres
  • Drive improvement in accuracy of project expense projections, with particular focus on non-resource costs
  • Provide financial/accounting training to change teams to help raise financial awareness
  • Ensure accounting alignment between SAP and Planview/project financials, including change day rate calculations
  • Support Management Board Change Board reporting and ensure financial integrity of presentations
  • Support the development of improved financial governance framework
  • Support annual planning process and drive fully embedding change as part of the annual timetable
  • Support change related reporting throughout planning process, including and group reporting requirements

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA/Equivalent
  • Experience in managing expense budgets
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
  • Experience in providing support to business management teams
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail, and a thirst for development
  • Well-organised and reliable with strong time management skills
  • Proven ability to consistently meet tight time-scales & deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player, with the ability to work autonomously
