Finance Manager

We are working with an exciting client based in Didcot who are seeking a Finance Manager to join the growing business.

Location: Banbury - 5 days on site

Salary: Up to 65k

Role duties:

  • Contribute to the preparation and review of weekly forecasts for business units
  • Deliver monthly insights through KPI tracking, P&L analysis, and supporting commentary
  • Examine and assess expenditure trends across business units
  • Support the evaluation and submission of commercial tenders
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business, fostering trust through regular site visits
  • Oversee month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, WIP assessments, and performance reporting
  • Play a key role in budget planning and review processes
  • Monitor WIP and aged debt levels, challenging divisional performance where needed
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
  • Review and approve capital expenditure proposals
  • Manage financial oversight of major projects, ensuring alignment of costs and revenue
  • Drive timely and accurate invoicing processes
  • Supervise payroll submissions to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency



Skills / Qualifications:

  • Accounting qualification or part qualified ACCA or ACA or CIMA with experience in a similar role
  • Strong background with core accounting such as Budget, Forecast, Month end, P&L reviews
  • Ability to build relationships with and support key stakeholders
  • Team management experience
  • UK Drivers license
  • Thrives in fast-paced, client-focused settings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, advanced Excel user
  • Capable of building strong relationships outside the finance team and managing upwards
  • Performs well under pressure with excellent organizational skills
