Are you a senior VAT professional looking for a leadership role with genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape your own future?
We are currently working on a confidential opportunity for an experienced VAT Director to join a growing and ambitious Top 20 Practice Firm.
This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to take ownership of a regional VAT offering, build strong senior client relationships and lead the continued development of a talented VAT team.
For the right individual, there is also a clear long-term pathway to Partnership.
The Role:
As VAT Director, you will take a leading role in delivering high-quality VAT advice while supporting the growth and development of the wider indirect tax offering.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and clients, taking ownership of relationships, leading complex technical work and helping to shape the future direction of the team.
Day to Day Includes:
- Leading on complex VAT and indirect tax matters.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to a portfolio of key clients.
- Delivering practical, commercially focused VAT advice.
- Taking responsibility for the continued growth and development of the VAT offering.
- Leading, mentoring and developing members of the VAT team.
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Identifying opportunities for new business and supporting wider business development activity.
- Working collaboratively with other teams to identify opportunities and deliver a joined-up client service.
- Supporting clients across a range of VAT and wider indirect tax matters, including international issues where relevant.
- Contributing to the strategic development and future growth of the team.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT and wider indirect tax matters.
- Experience dealing with complex VAT advisory work.
- A proven ability to build and develop senior client relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills.
- Ability to communicate complex VAT matters clearly and commercially.
