The role will suit a recently qualified accountant, with an excellent academic record and early career of accomplishment seeking a challenging role in a high-growth environment with excellent opportunities for advancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility for the finance function of a portfolio of entities within the European Shared Service - primary Ireland the largest entity in this portfolio
  • Responsible for the revenue recognition process for these entities.
  • Preparation and input of journal entries including (but not limited to) accruals, prepayments, cash and Inter-company
  • Provision of internal monthly reporting under US GAAP to include balance sheet, income statement and supporting analysis schedules
  • Ensuring the completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations each month and the timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Ensuring Intercompany Balances are reconciled on a monthly basis
  • Completing month end reporting packs and reports for distribution
  • Follow established EMEA-wide treasury procedures to include cash management and weekly forecast and reporting to US parent company
  • Cash management including bank factoring and reconciliation of same
  • Liaising with both the AP, AR and Payroll Shared Service teams.
  • Liaising with external auditors during their audits and quarterly reviews and responding to their queries on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for a number of European entities, working with local service providers.
  • Liaising with local internal management on finance related matters
  • Assist in a number of ad hoc projects which will arise on a regular basis

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/ ACCA.
  • Good knowledge of Financial systems
  • Previous exposure to US GAAP or Accounting in a Multinational environment would be an advantage.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and organized self starter who can work as an individual contributor and as part of cross functional team.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Flexibility and enthusiastic attitude are essential
  • Another European language an advantage
