A global, leading media & entertainment business based in the heart of London is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their central team!

This is a broad role, seeking someone who has trained in audit and is looking for their first role in industry; responsibilities include:

  • Preparing of monthly and quarterly reporting packs
  • Complete business postings in line with month, quarter and year end deadlines
  • Revaluation of all monetary assets and liabilities and analysis
  • Preparation of audit documentation and the assist in the statutory audit process.
  • Completion and review of tax packs.
  • Performance of controls analysis, testing and working with the business to resolve any gaps.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across business units and central teams.
  • Responsible for inter and intra company processes.
  • Liaise with entities within the Group to ensure reconciliation of all inter/intra-company balances.
  • Ensure validation of the journal postings, in line with internal guidelines, tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis ensuring Business documentation provided can support balance sheet positions.
  • Process improvement and project work, to improve efficiencies and financial systems.
  • Ad-hoc financial projects such as providing analysis and advice as appropriate

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent) preferably with experience of working within a finance function of a mid-sized corporation or of auditing mid-sized corporations - such as Big 4/ Top 10. Candidates must have experience in understanding complex business processes and inter-company transactions and is used to working in a controls-based environment. This role has lots of interaction with stakeholders and the wider business, so good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Working knowledge of IFRS is important, as well as strong Excel skills.
