Marks Sattin is working in exclusive partnership with a Bristol based SME to recruit a Financial Controller on an interim basis for a period of 3 to 6 months. This will be an opportunity to join business as it looks to improve controls and processes, adjust reporting standards and be actively involved with new business tenders. Naturally you will assume control of the day to day finance operations with the assistance of a small team.

This role would suit a technically competent Financial Controller with a background in project led businesses, strong IFRS reporting skills including IFRS15 and a history of driving improvements within an SME environment.

This role will be paying between up to £80,000 salary on a fixed term basis (day rate also considered).

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversight of day to day operational finance areas including transactional finance, management and financial accounting with support of a small team
  • Drive process improvement within areas of controls and financial reporting
  • Commercial awareness and ability to drive profitability
  • Work closely with senior leadership team on bids and tenders

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified by ACCA/ACA
  • Exposure to IFRS reporting and IFRS15
  • Worked within a project related industy
