Start your job searchA PE-backed media and events business is recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller on an initial 6 month contract. This is a key role which will form the basis of the programme to deliver a best-in-class finance function, which the successful candidate will own.
As the Interim Financial Controller, you will be:
- Owning the operational finance function, reporting to the Finance Director
- Responsible for the delivery on management accounts, day to day activity of finance and developing management information packs for commercial purposes
- Leading on monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
- Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS and managing group audits
- Embarking on a programme of continuous improvement, testing controls and refining processes
- Preparing VAT returns, payroll, cash forecasting and cashflow management
The ideal candidate:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Demonstrable experience owning monthly reporting cycles
- A solid grounding in technical and controls based finance
- A high energy and adaptable individual in a fast paced and exciting environment
- A genuine team player and a proactive sponsor of improving the organisation
