A PE-backed media and events business is recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller on an initial 6 month contract. This is a key role which will form the basis of the programme to deliver a best-in-class finance function, which the successful candidate will own.

As the Interim Financial Controller, you will be:

• Owning the operational finance function, reporting to the Finance Director
• Responsible for the delivery on management accounts, day to day activity of finance and developing management information packs for commercial purposes
• Leading on monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
• Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS and managing group audits
• Embarking on a programme of continuous improvement, testing controls and refining processes
• Preparing VAT returns, payroll, cash forecasting and cashflow management

The ideal candidate:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Demonstrable experience owning monthly reporting cycles
• A solid grounding in technical and controls based finance
• A high energy and adaptable individual in a fast paced and exciting environment
• A genuine team player and a proactive sponsor of improving the organisation
