Start your job searchGlobal fund with several billion AUM and a strong track record in real estate is looking to secure a fund accountant to complement the expanding European real estate team.
You will be reporting directly into the financial director and they will provide study support towards either the ACCA or CIMA (you will ideally already be part qualified).
Responsibilities of the fund accountant include:
- Along with the Finance Director and Senior Financial Accountant, oversee all aspects of financial integrity, statutory and investment reporting, analysis, accounting, and performance of real estate investments owned both directly and through partnerships / borrowers (Oversight of Europe)
- Work closely with the asset management teams to ensure investments accounted for accurately and are complete
- Track and monitor deal and fund level performance, under IFRS and using INREV principals
- Review of local financial statements under specific accounting policies, IFRS and US, as well as several European GAAPs
- Monitor cash flows and forecasts, manage Fund level cash
- Coordination of the bi-annual external valuation of the portfolio
- Assistance with the budgeting process
- Provision of cover to the Operations team in London and New York
Requirements:
- Must be a part qualified accountant with experience in fund accounting or real estate
- Good experience of financial statutory accounting
- Technical knowledge of accounting frameworks (i.e. IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, INREV
- Strong analytical skills. Able to understand, question and challenge a range of financial data
