Are you a proactive leader within physical commodities who has a background in product control and accounting? A new position is available for a Global Head of Product Control & Trade Accounting at an international commodities trading client. The role offers significant commercial, technical and leadership responsibilities at a business which is engaged in investing for tomorrow.
With global coverage across numerous countries a primary objective will be to lead a highly talented team who provide first class financial analysis and management information which supports the front office and business management. Product control responsibilities will include preparing daily and weekly P&Ls as well as month end trade accounting responsibilities. A critical element will be the ability to successfully handle high level interaction with the senior leadership team in finance, trading, operations and the associated departments. In line with the business's commitment to investment, you will play a key part in numerous upgrade projects including systems and processes.
This is best suited to an individual with proven experience of operating within an international physical commodities company; someone who is a fully qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA or equivalent); and has a track record of coaching, mentoring and developing high performing teams. You will be technically sharp and able to handle detailed transactional activities, financial reporting and control, continuous improvement and business performance initiatives.
