An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to step into a hands-on interim role for a fast-paced, multi-entity hospitality business. This is a day-rate contract supporting the Head Office finance function with a mix of reporting, audit, and transactional responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable processes including supplier invoice posting, statement reconciliations, banking transactions, and credit card/employee expense processing
- Maintain accurate monthly P&L postings and balance sheet controls for head office entities
- Prepare IFRS financial statements and assist with group-level covenant reporting to lenders
- Lead year-end audit processes and the preparation of statutory accounts for FY24
- Support the preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts and intercompany loan schedules
- Post journals, manage accruals, and complete balance sheet reconciliations including bank and cash book
- Collaborate with tax advisors to support the group's tax compliance, computations, and filings
- Provide transactional accounting support across holding company entities
The Ideal Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA /CA or FULLY qualified equivalent
- Strong IFRS & UK GAAP technical accounting knowledge
- Experience in group consolidations and exposure to an international business
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously
