Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working exclusively with one of the UKs largest manufacturing businesses to assist in the recruitment of a Group Financial Planning Senior Analyst to join a small strategic planning and investor relations team. The remit of the Group finance function has broadened and they are looking for a highly motivated and commercially minded qualified accountant familiar with financial modelling, capable of preparing concise reports for Board / external consumption.
Responsibilities;
- Development and operation of long-term financial planning models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) reflecting latest strategy and macro factors and performing sensitivity analysis on key variables
- Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders to have oversight of financial and environmental, social & governance aspects of commercial strategy
- Become the Group's expert on environmental, social & governance strategy reporting (external training to be provided), take responsibility for collating data across a variety of sources and develop the Groups internal and external reporting on performance against targets
- Monitor, compare and contrast financial performance relative to sector peers
- Perform strategic financial analysis for future opportunities (organic and M&A) including reviews post commencement
- Provide support to the Strategic Planning & Investor Relations team through the quarterly forecast and annual budget process
- Present information in a format ready for senior leadership and Group Board consumption to support decision making
Skills;
- Recently qualified Chartered Accountant
- Financial modelling experience
- Experience in environmental, social & governance strategic reporting (not essential)
- Preparation of Senior management / Board level presentations
