Interim Head of Tax - 12 Month Contract - £650/750 Per Day (Inside)

Role Requirements:

Drive financial excellence and ensure a strong foundation for future growth by maintaining robust internal policies, processes, and controls. Ensure accurate and timely external tax reporting to shareholders, stakeholders, and auditors.

Ensure compliance with tax legislation, manage external tax reporting, and build strong relationships with UK tax authorities. Advocate for tax legislation changes on complex issues.

Promote tax awareness, provide high-quality tax advice, and develop strong relationships with Finance and Leadership teams. Simplify complex tax issues for senior stakeholders and work to enhance tax processes.

Main Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage tax strategy to ensure compliance with direct, indirect, and employment taxes.

- Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation to protect the Group's interests.

- Manage relationships with tax authorities and lobby on specific tax issues.

- Provide high-quality tax advice to minimize costs, covering UK corporation tax, VAT, Customs Duty, Environmental taxes, employee tax, and Stamp Duty Land Tax.

- Raise tax awareness and embed key tax checks in business processes, maximizing capital allowance claims.

- Oversee tax transparency disclosures and ensure visibility of Total Tax Contribution at the Board level.

- Manage Group and entity tax figures for statutory accounts, management accounts, and forecasts.

- Maintain tax relationships with shareholders and participate in relevant meetings and correspondence.

- Prepare and present tax strategy and compliance reports to the Audit Committee.

- Lead and develop a team of 5+ tax professionals
