Type: Part-time (2-3 days per week)
Contract Length: 9-15 months
Day Rate: £600-£700 (Outside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for 1-2 months' notice)
A fast-growing, multi-entity property investment and development group is seeking a commercially focused Interim Finance Director. The business has scaled significantly over the past decade and is now entering a new phase of structured growth, with ambitious acquisition targets and a portfolio expected to double in the next few years.
The business now needs to bring in a senior finance professional on a part-time, project basis to overhaul its reporting, forecasting, and finance infrastructure.

The business has scaled significantly over the past decade and is now entering a new phase of structured growth, with ambitious acquisition targets and a portfolio expected to double in the next few years.
The Business
A high-growth, privately owned property investment group with a combination of mature holdings and two active joint ventures. With plans to expand its portfolio significantly over the next 4-5 years, the business is going through a period of strategic financial transformation and systems development.
The Requirement
The business is seeking an experienced interim finance leader to transform its finance reporting and planning infrastructure. This role will be pivotal in building long-term forecasting models, improving financial governance, and enhancing insight for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Focus Areas
* Develop management accounts and financial reporting across multiple entities.
* Build and refine five-year financial models to support planning and strategic decisions.
* Formalise and automate cash flow forecasting and performance tracking across different group structures.
* Create a robust debt and refinancing management system, tracking multiple events and lender terms.
* Refine and integrate accounting systems (Xero-based) for long-term scalability.
* Produce board and investor reporting packs, incorporating scenario analysis and stress testing.
* Ensure financial outputs support the broader vision of operational clarity and business performance.

Ideal Candidate
* Experienced interim FD, Head of Finance, or Finance Transformation Consultant
* Background in SME or multi-entity environments - ideally founder-led businesses
* Track record of building financial systems and scalable reporting tools from scratch
* Strategic mindset - able to advise, design, and implement with minimal oversight
* Confident working in a fast-paced, hands-on business
* Strong Excel skills essential; experience with Xero and Fathom beneficial
* Property experience helpful but not essential
