Start your job searchDelighted to be the exclusive partner to a leading energy provider for the recruitment of an Interim Finance Manager. The business was established in 2014 as the platform for expanding the parent company into the UK Energy Market. They have grown rapidly in the UK having acquired 3 power generating assets between 2014 and 2017 and has recently agreed the acquisition of a further 2 assets in Ireland, with completion expected in the summer 2019.
It has a trading office and business development office in London and a centralised support office in Leeds. The parent company is an operations-orientated investor with a strong background in pursuing growth opportunities across the energy sector. With more than 50 companies across 6 countries, and 25,000 employees, they have established a solid track record of continued organic and acquisitive growth.
Due to the large acquisition in Ireland, they are hiring this position to work within the integrations team on a 6 month interim basis. The role will work closely with the Head of Finance, integration team and the SLT in delivering the successful acquisition and integration of current and future assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
- Developing cost centre manager reporting
- Providing up to date financial information to help inform business decisions with key stakeholders
- Assisting with project appraisal and costing, tracking and managing project costs
Forecasting / Budgeting
- Working with business partners to kick off the annual budget process and create monthly reforecasts
- Analysing variances to budget and communication with key stakeholders
- Responsible for working capital analysis and cashflow forecasting
Financial Reporting
- Month end close processes.
- Process improvement and efficiencies
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing monthly management accounts
The post holder should be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified). It is imperative that you are comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing and transformative business on a large scale.
