Interim Financial Controller | Oldham | 6 month contract

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a thriving business based in Oldham to recruit for a hands-on Financial Controller on an interim basis. The successful candidate will lead a small team and be heavily involved with month end processes, cashflow and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee and execute month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the financial stability of the organisation.
  • Prepare and analyse P&L statements to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage collections to maintain healthy cash flow and minimise outstanding receivables.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Develop and manage the budgeting process, providing detailed forecasts and variance analysis.

About you

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating hands-on involvement in financial management and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is essential
