IT Business Relationship Manager - Audit

A global Professional Services firm is currently recruiting for a Business Relationship Manager to join on a permanent basis located at their Central London office. The Business Relationship Manager acts as a bridge between the IT service function and Audit function. This BRM function looks to ensure that IT services, opportunities & challenges are understood and adopted or addressed.

As this is a new function within IT, initially this role will be responsible for supporting the Business Relationship team manager in implementing and refining the ongoing methodology and approach this team will follow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with IT, business units. Maintaining open lines of communication with all parties from both a service delivery as well as proactive IT requests
  • Consult with business streams and review IT usage, services, technology, and department specific projects in order to identify, forecast and develop IT needs. Utilise the adoption and business change function to insure the IT solution and service are embedded within the business unit
  • Be the voice of the business on both project and service delivery
  • Serve as liaison with the Information Technology department for the business unit help them navigate the IT function
  • To continually understand the business needs and pressures and help to educate the rest of the IT function capabilities

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of relationship management of an IT Service and Accountancy, Audit or Tax function
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in the IT industry with expertise in areas of Business engagement including Project management and business analysis
  • Experience of working in professional services organisation preferably partnerships
  • Good knowledge of Audit, Accountancy or Tax products and services advantageous. This includes IT and Business services
  • Exhibit confidence in dealing with various levels of the organisation both within IT and the business units
  • Ability to identify and analyse alternative approaches to dealing with issues and problems
  • Ability to challenge existing processes and methods in order to help grow and improve the business
  • Excellent customer service and consulting skills
