Marks Sattin are currently supporting our client in looking for a Management Accountant to join there finance team. The role will include a wide range of responsibilities working in a dynamic environment. The role will report directly to the Financial Controller and have regular interaction with the Group CFO. The role will attract a competitive salary, along with a wide range of benefits including quarterly bonus scheme, workplace pension, on-site café and garden, various well-being classes, subsidised gym membership and regular social events.

The core role will include the following:

Monthly reporting

* Production of month end management accounts to agreed deadline, including review with managers across the business (sales, delivery and marketing teams)

* Extraction of data from CRM, reconciliation to SAGE and investigation of any issues arising

* Monthly reconciliation of ledger accounts including preparation of month end file

* Sagepay reconciliation and funding reconciliations for various funding partners

* Posting of month end journals

* Assisting with banking activities, including payments and reconciliations

* Assisting with Direct Debit collections and producing analysis of those products

Financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting

* Preparation of month end finance pack for distribution to senior management

* Commercial commentary and analysis of financial performance in the period

* Involvement in weekly performance forecasting (interacting with department leads)

* Involvement in annual budget preparation

*Supporting FC in monthly cash forecasting Other role aspects

* The business is undergoing significant growth and there are a number of transformational projects underway which you may be required to support or lead

* Potential team leader role within the wider finance department

Key Competencies

* Self-starter with ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively and prioritise activities

* Appetite to take responsibility and ownership of management accounts process

* Commercial interpretation of financial results and ability to communicate to non-financial audience

* Demonstrable experience in a finance/management accountancy role

* Proficient with MS Excel including use of pivots and vlookups

* Team player focused on achieving departmental goals by supporting colleagues and leading by example
