Young and highly entrepreneurial Sports brand is looking to hire a recently qualified (or equivalent) Management Accountant for a newly created role. This firm is a small but growing company with this role intended to support the FC and FD in the running of the day to day operations. The company operates across the UK and is instantly recognisable. More impressively their growth far outstrips the market with this role a key new role supporting the business and senior management.
Your role will oversee:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis of key cost and revenue drivers
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis
- Financial reporting and stat accounting at year end
- Treasury management
- Oversight of a couple of juniors in finance who cover off the more transactional elements, payroll, ledgers etc...
- Ad hoc project work when required
We're ideally looking for candidates from two possible backgrounds:
- ACCA, CIMA recently qualified or equivalent from Commerce with a background in softer industries like Media, Retail, Consumer, FMCG, telcos, IT or similar.
- ACCA or ACA / CA qualified or equivalent from a background in Accounts prep or Management Accounting at a small to medium sized Accounting firm.
You'll need to have broad Management and Financial Accounting skills with a desire to work in a fast paced environment. You'll need to be self motivated, driven and with excellent attention to detail alongside proven business partnering and stakeholder management abilities. The role is based in central London with a competitive salary, benefits and discretionary bonus.
