We are representing a rapidly growing private equity fund based in the City that is looking to hire a newly or recently qualified ACA. This is to join as a commercial Fund Controller.

The role is a broad and an ideal next step within the investment management industry for any ambitious ACA. The position will leverage off you're the skills and knowledge learned from your ACA qualification whilst also provide you with challenges, new experiences and the opportunity to learn and develop. You will get exposure to all aspects of fund finance and get exposure to other areas of the business such as investor relations, deal team and portfolio work. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Production of fund management information including reporting on investment performance and monitoring the introduction of new investments.
  • Production of investor quarterly reports
  • Production of annual statutory accounts and subsequent audit for the Limited Partnerships and group companies
  • Administration of investor drawdowns, distributions, equalisations and general investor reporting (quarterly) including ad hoc information requests as necessary, including derivation and interrogation of metrics and production of investor-facing reports
  • Interrogation of financial models (supplied by project accountants) and collation of investment reports to monitor and evaluate project performance
  • Assistance with financial due diligence and structuring of target investments
  • Provision of business partnering role across the team, including investment, commercial, asset management and investor relations
  • Liaise with the asset management team to deal with operational issues, report on asset performance and optimise investment returns
  • Liaise with the commercial team to assess the impact of new investments and financings on asset and fund performance

The company itself is entrepreneurial in nature and has a track record of developing talent internally through offering progression and lateral exposure throughout the business. This has enabled them to retain staff and as such a strong culture has transcended throughout the entire business.

The ideal candidate will be a newly or recently qualified ACA with either;

  1. Fund audit exposure of any asset class.
  2. Qualified through a mid-tier practice with accounts preparation experience and excellent academics.
