Payroll & HR Systems Advisor (6-Month FTC)

Location: West London

Working Pattern: 5 Days per Week in the Office

Salary: Up to £45,000 (Pro Rata)

Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Payroll & HR Systems Advisor to join a busy and collaborative people team. This role has a strong payroll focus, taking ownership of payroll administration for approximately 700 permanent employees across a 4/5-weekly payroll cycle.

We're looking for someone who enjoys payroll, takes pride in accuracy, and is willing to get involved with broader HR operations and systems activities when needed. This is a great role for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is happy to support wherever required.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

• Support the end-to-end payroll process for c.700 permanent employees.
• Ensure all payroll changes are processed accurately and within deadlines.
• Validate payroll data and investigate any discrepancies.
• Handle employee payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
• Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities.

HR Systems & Administration

• Maintain accurate employee records across HR and payroll systems.
• Support data management, reporting, and system updates.
• Assist with HR administration and operational tasks as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll and HR processes.

Team Support

• Work closely with colleagues across HR, payroll, finance, and operations.
• Be willing to support wider HR activities outside of payroll when required.
• Take a proactive, hands-on approach to workload and priorities.
• Act as a collaborative team member within a small, supportive function.

About You

Essential

• Payroll administration experience with responsibility for end-to-end processing.
• Experience managing payroll for a medium-sized employee population.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A flexible, team-oriented approach and willingness to assist outside of core payroll duties.

Highly Desirable

• Experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll and HR systems.
• Exposure to HR systems administration and employee data management.
• Experience producing payroll reports and reconciliations.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
