A global Professional Services firm is currently recruiting for an experienced client-facing PMO Manager/Consultant to join their growing Business Consulting function.
The Programme & Change Consultant will be engaged in delivering a positive impact on client based projects. The firm works across various industries, with a variety clients. Therefore the base location will be Central London, but travel to client sites will be required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience of managing the delivery of different types of complex projects, either within industry or with a consultancy
- Working knowledge and experience across multiple sectors and industries
- Significant experience across both IT and Business Change Projects/Programmes
- Proven experience at a Manager grade level
- Experience of assisting with the design and development of a PMO from the ground up
- Development of project plans across work streams and management of critical paths and dependencies in a project
- Project/Programme management qualification e.g. Prince2, MoP, and understanding and experience of other project management methodologies (e.g. Agile)
- Ability to coach, mentor and manage others in a project team
- Experience of progress reporting and risk management; preparation of status updates and reports as part of a PMO
- Experience with preparation of programme/project initiation and mobilisation documents incl. budgets and business cases
- Excellent communication, organisational problem solving and analytical skills; confidence in, and capable of managing communications and engagement at all levels from C-Suite and project sponsorship, through to fellow team members and stakeholders
