Senior Finance Assistant | Stockport | Up to £35,000 | Temp to Perm

A PE-backed support services business is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Finance Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary-to-permanent contract. Based in Stockport, this role is office-based (5 days a week), with some flexibility considered. It's a great opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day finance processes in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and approvals
• Manage payment runs and reconcile supplier statements
• Raise sales invoices and support billing queries
• Reconcile bank accounts and support cashbook maintenance
• Assist with payroll data collation and liaise with external providers
• Maintain accurate financial records and support internal controls

About You

• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Previous experience as a finance assistant or transactional finance role
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
