Start your job searchWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a PLC with an impressive record of growth and have continued to be acquisitive within their sector. This has led to the need to appoint a high-calibre finance professional into a newly created position, which will cover a mixture of responsibilites.
The role will have responsibility for the consolidated financial results of Group and own the financial control environment for the Core Services Business Unit, taking the lead on all financial accounting and reporting matters, both internally and externally. In addition, the role takes a lead role in the creation, updating and maintenance of Group-wide accounting policy and financial control framework. They will lead a team of people and be responsible for interactions with external auditors.
The role will also have responsibility for providing financial accounting leadership to the wider Core Services Business Unit, ensuring accounting implications are accurately considered, understood and fed into commercial, operational and strategic decisions, working closely with the Business Finance team.
The role offers a superb opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant (Ideally Big 4) with post qualification experience. Both 1st time movers into Industry or 2nd time movers will be considered. fThe successful candidate will possess excellent IFRS knowledge, will have advanced Excel skills, will be experienced in producing and analysing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow information within a multi-location organisation and will have strong communication and report writing skills
