Start your job searchOur client is a global technology leader addressing some of today's biggest challenges through innovative design solutions. The two interim Buyer roles will join a busy purchasing department to support the team as they move through a period of transformation.
The Buyer role will ultimately be responsible for the timely delivery of material and components to site though effective MRP control and supplier management.
Please note these are interim 6-9 month contracts paying the equivalent of 30k.
The Buyer role
- Purchase materials against MRP requirements, tracking the order and managing suppliers to meet OTIF levels
- Conduct order book reviews and action appropriately
- Obtain purchase order acknowledgements, updating the MRP system with correct data
- Mitigate risk to supply where possible and escalating where unavoidable
- Work with suppliers to understand constraints or possible risk
- Manage suppliers against a preset suite of KPI's
Your Experience
- Demonstrable track record in a purchasing role
- High proficiency in MRP systems
- High proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
