Windows / 3rd Line Support Engineer - £45k

Pan-UK organisation is currently seeking an experienced 3rd Line Support Specialist with a proven track record within the Windows stack - in particular Office 365 - as well as excellent Citrix experience to join its growing IT function based at its prestigious offices in Luton.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 3rd Line Support to all internal staff across all infrastructure services
  • Ensure that infrastructure and core services are available during agreed operating hours
  • Ensure that data and systems are backed up and can be recovered
  • Ensuring that all IT infrastructure assets are managed
  • Proactive monitoring of infrastructure and core services
  • Resolving incidents, and completing job related activity as necessary
  • Producing performance, availability and capacity reports for IT infrastructure and core services
  • Continuous service improvement
  • Input into the design and development of IT infrastructure platforms that fulfil the needs of the business
  • Provide technical delivery resources to projects
  • Maintaining the security, capacity and availability of all data centre and corporate IT infrastructure services
  • Creation and maintenance of IT infrastructure processes, and documentation

Skills Required

  • Proven and demonstrable track record in a 3rd Line Support role is a pre-requisite
  • Excellent track record within Citrix
  • Proven Active Directory skills
  • Windows Server 2008 and 2012 skills
  • Excellent experience of Office 365 and Azure
  • Technical grounding in all aspects of infrastructure
  • Good understanding of IT service management processes
  • ITIL foundation certification or above is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable understanding of the ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change processes
  • CCNA/CCNP, MCSE/MCP or VMWare certification would be desirable but not essential.
