You'll be joining a developing fast pace business within a role that offers flexibility in your approach and method of working:

Role:

  • Responsible for the day to day direct line management of the Accounts Payable and Receivable team.
  • Ensure that the purchase and sales ledgers are operated accurately, efficiently and to agreed timescales.
  • Set up new supplier and customer accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Ensure that creditors are paid accurately and on time and that customers are invoiced, and debts collected, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the fortnightly payment runs and undertake satisfactory checks to ensure that the correct payments are made to the correct creditors.
  • Undertake periodic aged creditors and debtors reviews with Financial Accounting Manager team.
  • Proactive in taking the initiative to review and make suggestions to improve processes and procedures in relation to accounting systems, reconciliation processes and procedures in accordance with accounting policies, Group requirements and best practice.
  • Support the ongoing development of the finance system.
  • Provide excellent customer service, manage and maintain good relationship with the internal and external stakeholders, in particular our key suppliers and customers.
  • Support Financial Accounting Manager with adhoc projects and activities, deputizing where appropriate.

What you'll need?

  • Proven experience of managing Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team, managing a diverse workload and priorities effectively to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • IT literate with intermediate/ advanced Excel skills.
  • Commitment to personal development and that of direct reports.
